Skip the candy and give your children something they will cherish, a plush animal or a rucksack, and information about the animal or habitat, full color picture and fact sheet, a letter or recognition (for next show and tell) and a e-card they can send to their grandparents or friends.  Our children will inherit the world we are leaving behind.  Help them prepare for the challenges ahead, and there will be many.
