Do you have a problem each Halloween deciding on a costume to wear? Perhaps you fall back on an old standby, like pirate, vampire, hobo or soldier? Many of us do not have the money to buy or rent a costume and putting a constume together at thrift shops can be a daunting experience.
The slide show above illustrates how some very talented individuals solved their costume question by making costumes out of balloons! I cannot imagine the creativity and the patience (and the lung-power) needed to design and make one of these constumes.
So, the next time you need a costume, buy some balloons and put your design skills to work. If you are truly talented, you could be making wedding dresses next! Think about it. This is no stranger than clothes made out of feathers, plastic wrap, latex bubbles or any of the strange attire that walks down the runway at the fashion shoes.

Therefore, this is a perfect time to do a little purging. Clean out the closets, tackle that garden shed, look under the beds. I usually find something to give away if I look at my husband’s clothes. Finally, a chance to get rid of the ghastly gimme cap with the beer holders and long straws! Or, what about entering that god awful coat or cape with the moth eatern fur collar. Wait! I have it. The motorcyle leathers that fit someone at some time, but now just take up space and smell up the coat closet.
When you have found something truly ugly that you wish to lose, upload the photograph or the video clip of the truly ugly item to the LG Bliss Facebook Fan Page. It rained heavily for several days when we were staying at Lake Conroe. We stayed inside our new trailer, reading and watching movies, mostly snoozing and just being lazy. On the third morning, I walked to the dumpster to get rid of some recycling and trash.
I opened the right hinged flap on the dumpster and could not believe it! There was a young raccoon in there! I guess it crawled in the dumpster when the lid was open and was trapped when the lid was closed. I do not know how long it had been in the dumpster. It sure looked scared (below).
I went back to the trailer to tell Michael and to see what we could use to free the raccoon.
We walked back and I opened the lid of the dumpster and the raccoon hid its precious face. We scared it! We reported the raccoon to the staff and waited for about an hour for someone from Thousand Trails to do something. Lots of rangers went by, all looking at the dumpster. Not one stopped to help.
Finally, we brought our RV mat over to the dumpster and put half of it down into the trash and left the other half to drape down the front of the dumpster. Then we walked away.
The raccoon was out of the dumpster in a flash. It was disoriented, so it went up to the dumpster lids rather than down to the ground.
It reached the top and then looked and looked. It decided that it was a long way to the ground from up there, so it backtracked and escaped.
That is one raccoon that will not be playing in a dumpster any time soon. We gathered up our RV mat and enjoyed telling the tale to the people who had stopped to watch. You never know what might happen on a camping trip. I am just glad it was a young raccoon and not a grizzly bear!
