The official San Antonio Christmas tree stands in the Alamo Plaza.  This year, the tree is sponsored by CPS Energy and features 1,200 LED lights.  The tree will be lit to the accompaniment of a hand bell choir on December 5 at 6 pm.

RV Parks in San Antonio

Travelers World RV Resort

The closest RV Park to the Riverwalk and the Alamo is Travelers World RV Resort. I have not stayed here, but most of the reviews are good and it is a Good Sam Park.

Admiralty RV Resort

We have spent several days at this nice RV park located about 1-1/2 miles from Sea World and 15 minutes from the medical center. The facilities include a large heated pool with separate jacuzzi, laundry room, activity center, curbside garbage pickup, free Wi-Fi and free cable with HBO. Good Sam Park.

Travel to Austin on Saturday, December 4 for a Holiday Sing-A-Long and Downtown Stroll. This free, family event begins with a caroling session on the South side steps of the Capitol at 6 pm.  At 7 pm, the lights on the 40-foot Christmas tree lights the night. Congress Avenue is closed to vehicle and becomes one huge pedestrian mall, alive with music, art, shopping and more. For more information, visit the website: Downtown Austin Holidays

Sights and Sounds of Christmas

This is the best celebration of Christmas that I have ever attended.  I took my infant son to see Santa come in by helicopter and ride the fire engine to the river.  That was 17 years ago.  He still attends every year.
