Looking for a safe alternative to trick or treating for your children on  Halloween? They will never forget a train ride, hayride and picking their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. This trip departs from the Palestine Depot.

Texas State Railroad just added another date (11/01) so there is time to plan a great family outing and camping trip.  East Texas is gorgeous in the fall.

Tickets

  • Coach & Open-Air Seating:  $19 Child (ages 2-11) and $36.50 Adult
  • Climate Controlled: $21 Child (ages 2-11) and $39.50 Adult

Palestine Depot Campgrounds ($12 per night)

  • Tent and RV sites with water (no electricity), restrooms (no showers) & cooking grills
  • Activities: ½ mile nature trail, playground, pond, and large park.
  • Dump station on site

Rusk Depot Campgrounds ($25 per night)

  • 71 camping sites with full hook-up
  • Group or tent sites each with water and electricity
  • Picnic tables, grills, fire rings, and restrooms and showers
  • Campground  Store where you can purchase firewood, ice, drinks, snacks, & other items and also checkout our activity equipment.
  • Activities: 15 acre fishing lake, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball goals, horseshoes, shuffle board, volleyball, small water feature, & ¼ mile nature trail.
