Name Our EDGE M21 Trailer

CyberCelt | May 5, 2009 in RV Reviews, RV Travel, Road Trips | Comments (16)

We had a wonderful time and will be writing up posts and posting pictures soon. Here is a picture of our new travel trailer: 21 feet long, one slide, full bath and walk around bed.

We just spent 3 weeks on a shakedown trip and we will be taking it back to the dealer to get some things examined.

The shakedown trip will be a saga . . . with the tale of the slide, the tale of the inside dripping A/C, the tale of the always full black water tank, the tale of the spare tire drop and the tale of the almost self-wreck.

Edge M21

Help Us Name Our New Trailer

Edge M21 and our truck

Our last trailer was named Beauty (84 Prowler Regal) and she was pulled by the Beast (85 Ford Club Van XL). The truck we have now is named BBT (Big Black Truck), but we do not have a name for the Edge yet.

Please leave your suggestion in the comments.  If your suggestion is chosen, you will win $20 cash, paid through PayPal. If you do not have PayPal, we will work it out.  Contest open until May 31, 2009 at midnight, CST.

I think there might be a little too much going on on the initial load of your blog. I see just the background for a couple seconds, until the page is finally up. But excellent info worth waiting for :o). Definitely ‘two thumbs up’.

    Hi,
How about calling it as ” VEGA”

    “Rocinante”

John Steinbeck bought a travel trailer in order to travel the US with his trusty pooch, Charley, to pen the wonderful novel “Travels with Charley”. He named his camper after Don Quixote’s horse.

“Vacilando” from the spanish verb vacilar.

If one is vacilando, he is going somewhere but doesn’t greatly care whether or not he gets there, although he has direction. To choose streets at random in order to get one’s self purposely lost for the mere adventure of it all.

Just call it Bob and be done with it.

Edit: I hate PayPal and won’t use them. If you start calling your trailer Bob, give the money to your local SPCA.

    Bob would like that.

Edit II: Bob also an acronym for Back of Black – just sayin’ . . .

I’m going for, “IBU”, which stands for, “It’s behind us.” Pronounced I-boo.

I think if you’re going with BBT you should follow up with LWT. Little White Trailer

How about SWT (Single White Trailer)

    I would nominate “Albert.”

The inspiration therefor being a Bob and Ray “commercial” for one of their mock sponsors, the Monongahela Metal Foundry (”casting shiny ingots with the housewife in mind”), announcing the “winner” of a prize contest to name one of their new products (who, it turned out, came from Carthage, Missouri).

What a gorgeous RV! And truck! I am sooo jealous!

Hm, a name. I like naming contests, even if I don’t win. How about Scooter? lol. Too cutesy? Um… how about… Lucy? Did you ever see that RV vacation segment on I Love Lucy? Man, that was hilarious. Hmm. If I think of anything else, I’ll be back. LUCKY YOU!!!

P.S. I like your new blog design, it’s very streamlined.
