EDGE Lightweight Travel Trailer
Well, I think we found an ultra-lightweight travel trailer that we would love to have. It is called the EDGE and it is made by Heartland RV. These trailers are very nicely laid out, so you really do not miss the space. The M18 weighs 2795 pounds. The M21 Edge weighs 3189 pounds.
We first saw the EDGE M18 on eBay and were really thinking about it. Then we went out to the Heartland website and saw that there was a M21, which is just a perfect size for us. Of course, being new and lightweight, there are not a great many available.
I found one M21 (white) in Mesquite, Texas and one M21 (color) located at a dealer located in Batavia Ohio, close to Cincinnati! I sure would like to find one in Central Texas. I love to travel, but Ohio is not on my bucket list.

I was very pleased to find this site.I wanted to thank you for this great read!! I definitely enjoying every little bit of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post.
Great tips! I totally agree with removing barriers to comments – I will not register to comment unless it is a blog I visit frequently.
Amiable dispatch and this mail helped me alot in my college assignement. Thanks you seeking your information.
Many Thanks for the post. I was quite confused about this issue, however your post has cleared it up :)
Thanks a lot for such a nice posting about little trailers . I am now planning to create such a nice but little trailer for my early coming travel.
Nice trailer review! Been planning to buy one. I’m still canvassing, glad I came across this post.
.-= Addy@Travel Trailers For Sale´s last blog ..Hello world! =-.
We just saw a 21 foot Edge yesterday in SanAntonio. The head room and windows w/built in shades & screens were great.
We are going to look at the new Edge today. I am trying to find reviews from me that already own one.
How do you like it? Any regrets? How long and how good is the warranty.
We would prefer to buy used and spend $8000 but have trouble finding what we want in that range so now may consider a new Edge.
Does it come fully loaded or is every little thing extra?
We will be going to the Mesquite location.
Hi, here is the most exciting site I have found in my efforts to choose a lightweight:

@sue-I took your addy out of the comment. I will try to reach you by email.
I would like brochure on the Edge to be mailed to me, please. We are looking for a light weight camper. I happened to be on an interstate and saw them. I haven’t heard of the Edge before.
Also, if there are any dealers in Illinois or Iowa, please let me know, Thank You
@Al-we wanted to have something we could pull with a smaller vehicle. We have a BIG Black Truck (diesel 4×4). It gets over 20 mpg, but when it goes, we will buy something smaller.
@mom-it is certainly easier to maneuver in and around parks, parking lots and a lot easier to pull. It hardly weight anything compared to our old trailer, Beauty.
@Laura-The Edge is brand new. I have been researching lightweight travel trailers for a couple of years. I think you will see more lightweight trailers on the market in the near fature.
We are also looking for a light weight travel trailer. It’s just two adults, and I would like to have a walk around bed and a toilet with enough space that you can actually use it! (ahem). I’ve not heard of this brand? But then again, we’re just starting to look.
We stopped at an rv dealership on the way home and looked at a zeplin (didn’t like the bathroom), and a an outback, but that didn’t have a walk around bed.
In your quest to narrow your choices, did you use any particular websites for research? I am trying to find a good website — kind of like a consumer reports for travel trailers.
Yeah, I think if I were to going to go traveling this way I would go with a trailer like this instead of a full size RV. Just seems to make more sense in these days of fluctuating gas prices. This trailer looks really nice.
Nick | Mom Most Traveled’s last blog post..You Can Make This (and this, too)!
With a trailer like this you can pull it easy with small SUV (Like a Ford Explorer). Also, just think of the gas savings.
