I have seen several posts and pictures about 9/11, but your post title is the best.

It is true. September 11 is the day our innocence died.

I remember that morning. I was getting ready for work. My wife always has the television on a news channel. The first plane had already rammed into tower number one. Then the next thing we knew, the second tower was hit.

I looked at my wife and said, “That was no accident.”

Little did we know what coming next.

Our innocence died the day the government decided to retaliate and create more innocent victims (in Afghanistan and, mostly, Iraq) and we did nothing to stop it.

Being attacked by terrorists doesn’t destroy our innocence… But when we do bad deeds and create immense suffering, that’s where our innocence dies.

Bas’s last blog post..What’s this guy saying?
