I heard on the radio today that the death toll has risen to more than 100,000 with riots in the streets for available food and water. I’ll tell you what, that was just horrible and sickening. Voy a decirles qué, que se acaba de horrible y repugnante. To think that it killed 22,000 and 41,000 missing, likened to Katrina doesn’t really do it justice. Pensar que mató a 22000 y 41000 desaparecidos, similar a Katrina en realidad no lo hacen justicia. At least LA seems to be rebounding, there’s no telling when a place like this will ever come back around if it ever will. @steve-I cannot believe we have not gotten aid to these folks. @ steve-No puedo creer que no hemos recibido la ayuda a estas personas. They have been without drinking water since the 4th. I think the UN was able to get some relief workers in there today, but it is too little, too late. There was a Burma exhibition at our Human/Animal Rights Day recently in Johannesburg where they had lots of excellent info and films on the problems in Burma. Government there is the real problem. Gobierno es el verdadero problema. I cant figure out what kind of people can be sitting there and prevent help to enter their country. I cant averiguar qué tipo de personas pueden ser sentado allí y ayudar a impedir entrar en su país. Are they so paranoid that they think we will bring some kind of evil inside? ¿Son tan paranoico que parece que va a traer algún tipo de mal dentro? Cant they see its just food and medicine? Cant ven sólo sus alimentos y medicinas? Its not surprising that people are dying there, thousands of them, in rebellions and uprisings. No es de extrañar que las personas están muriendo allí, miles de ellos, en rebeliones y levantamientos. The government they have now is something to fear. El gobierno que tenemos ahora es algo que temer.
