Save a Red Bus for Christmas
I have blogger friends named Matthew and Sue who have a dream of saving one old green bus, an AEC Regent Low Height built in the early 1950’s. Please click here to read about their dream.
Through Matthew and Sue, I heard of someone hoping to sell the 1948 Leyland PD-1 double-decker pictured above and below. The owner is asking $2,200 for the bus because he is losing his storage space, he does NOT sell it; if not, he will be forced to scrap the vehicle.
Looking at the inside, I can imagine a double decker RV. What a wonderful travel vehicle this would make for someone that could do the work. The inside looks clean and it is already stripped and ready for remake. I have heard about these people that are looking for the green bus before. I think I stumble across their website a few months ago. I hope they achieve their goals soon. This is a great website by the way.
