Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived at Central Texas Medical Center this afternoon by helicopter. They are now arriving by fire truck at the Sights and Sounds of Christmas in San Marcos. Their arrival on the San Marcos River sparks the lighting of millions of lights to begin the celebration, Sights and Sounds of Christmas.
Sights and Sounds will be happening Friday and Saturday night as well. There are holiday activities for people of all ages. Enjoy food booths, shop for Texas arts and crafts or go wild on the carnival rides. A Night in Old Bethlehem with live angels and animals spreads over one side of the river. On the other side are musical presentations by local school children, visitations with Santa in the River House, the Jingle Bell Express and the Carousel.
