Weird happening in Washington
Strange July 13th, 2007No, I am not talking about Vice President Cheney declaring himself a national monument and President Bush placing a plaque on him. Tourists wanting to view the new monument were told by Tony Snow, Whitehouse spokesperson, that it would cost $75,000. This is bizarre and offensive to me. The administration is mocking the American people and our heritage.
I have something weirder than that:
Robber demands cash — but settles for a glass of wine and a group hug - International Herald Tribune
A man walked into a backyard dinner party in Washington DC and put a gun to the head of a 14-year old girl. He threatened to kill her if the people did not give him all their money. Some level-headed woman asked the robber to join them in a glass of wine. As the robber munched cheese and drank wine, he said that he had come to the wrong house. Then all the people gave the robber a group hug. The robber walked off with his wine.

Both of the stories are pretty bizarre! I’m glad that the family who’s daughter had a gun to her head called the police … strange story but can you imagine how traumatized that girl might be?

@tricia-One for your strange blog, for sure! God changed that entire situation through the woman who kept her cool. I pray He keeps working on the robber and mitigates the effect of what happened in the young woman. Either the woman who kept her cool or that young woman is going to do some great things.

It was sort of sad in a way, one of the robbery victims asked the robber what his mother would think of what he was doing and he stated that he didn’t have a mother. It sort of became sadder as it progressed! Maybe he can get some much needed help.

That second story is a GREAT story. As for the first one, don’t get your blood pressure up. It was a satirical piece by Andy Borowitz. Not real… I’m pretty sure. Nothing he does usually is.

@lynne-an angel was sitting on someone’s shoulder that day.
@lisbeth-you think so? With everything else they have done, I just figured it was true.
@ventrilo-wild how the American public keeps losing civil rights and the administration keeps getting new ones. Its sad, eh?
