Congratulations to everyone. My prayers are with those still on the river for another long night.
Special kudos to Fred Mynar and Deborah Lane, husband and wife, natives of San Marcos. They set a new mixed record! As long as I have been in San Marcos (23 years) there has always been at least one Mynar brother in the race, usually in the top finishers. Fred is a graduate of the Department of Geography, Texas State University. Deborah is known for her work with the San Marcos River Foundation, River Rangers (water quality monitors), and Texas State University Rivers Center. Well, done, y’all.
