San Antonio’s first annual birding and nature festival, WildFest San Antonio, will be held May 4-6, 2007. Although you would not know it, there is an abundance of natural areas in and around San Antonio.

The events will be held at such scenic and wild areas such as Mitchell Lake Audubon Center, Medina River Natural Area, Government Canyon State Natural Area, the Botanical Gardens and the Missions National Historical Park.

Some of the venues for the WildFest are not normally open to the public. This is a great way to learn about the natural and historical treasures that lie hidden even in the largest of cities in the USA.
