Wildflowers Blooming in DeWitt County, Texas
Day Trips, Gardens and Tours, Hike/Bike/Run, Nature, Nature, RV Travel, Wildlife Watching April 6th, 2007
From the DeWitt Wildflower Country Lanes and Byways
Quick post about the wildflowers around Gonzales to Cuero to the Texas coast. I was hoping to have a route map to the trails from the DeWitt Wildflower organization before I posted this, but they have not sent it. Michael and I traveled this way to the coast a few years back and we were just amazed at the beautiful displays of wildflowers that covered the roads on US Highways 183 and 87.
The first place you need to stop is the DeWitt County Historical Museum, where you can pick up a wildflower trail map. Make sure you scold them for not emailing the map to me… LOL
