We are leaving on a road trip to view wildflowers, fish and relax this weekend. We plan to travel through the area around Bastrop and Buescher State Parks to Smithville, Texas on Highway 71. We are staying at a Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) park on the Colorado River called Riverbend Park. According to wildflower reports, this area and the area around Brenham are abloom. Also in the region is Lake Somerville State Park and Trailway.

We will be back with lots of pictures of wildflowers, I hope. There is also a severe thunderstorm warning this weekend, so we may return with more “guess what happened to us” RVing stories. Wish us luck!
