Pink Flamingo Spotted on Texas Coast

CyberCelt | November 18, 2005 in Uncategorized | Comments (3)

Just a birding report. A friend of mine was at Goose Island State Park this week. He saw a Pink Flamingo. Not a Roseate Spoonbill, but a Flamingo! I also saw that others had seen it on the birding hotline.

Get your life list and your binoculars and see a Flamingo in the wild.

You just never know what you might see in Texas, especially along the coast.

Best birding,

Eileen

I was driving on Padre Island Blvd. cas-way highway 384 going back towards Corpus Christi when I saw a very pink flamingo flying over on Sunday morning 06/08/2008. I was very surprised and excited because the last time I saw one was 25 years ago when I was a teenage on vacation at the San Diego Zoo. I did not even know Texas had them.

Cool. Nothing very unusual around here.. Every now and then a wild turkey, hen, or peacock.
